Mulled Wine

Servings 2 cup



  • 1/2 bottle red wine
  • 2-3 Orange slices
  • Whole spices – cinnamon, cloves, star anise
  • few Ginger slices
  • 1-2 tsp Maple syrup/honey
  • 1 cup Water



  • In a saucepan, Boil the spices in water for 5 mins, add orange and ginger slices, red wine and maple syrup and whisk briefly.
  • Over medium-high heat, cook the wine until it almost approaches a simmer.
  • Remove and discard the orange slices, cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and ginger with a fine mesh strainer. Taste the mulled wine and add as much extra sweetness as you need.
  • Warm in heatproof cups and garnish with your preferred toppings.
